Dancing – a world within our world

My name is Danielle Ralph, and I was born to dance. It is my belief that we are all born with many talents that we are to share with many others in our lifetime. Dance is one of the big ones for me, and I would like to share with you an insight to what I have found in the life and world of Dance.
Dance is a creative force. It is an experience of a lifetime and an expression of your soul. It teaches us endless possibility, trust, self-confidence, attitude, cultural unity, respect for one another, joy and laughter. I’ve found love and prosperity, along with the freedom to move – to be – to do – and to have whatever I choose to achieve. Dance is, in fact, A Way of Life!. Read more
Boogie Bachata
I just came back from a week of holidaying in New Zealand. It was great! Being there, I was trying to take time apart from the only two addictions that I have in life: Latin dancing and my mobile phone (this one, only recently developed). The withdrawal effects were really soon noticeable, especially my dependence on dancing.
I was based in Christchurch, the third largest city in New Zealand, so I went out night hopping to find… people. There weren’t many except on New Year’s Eve. What we did find though was a nice little night club that played 70’s to 90’s songs that are nice to Boogie to. Their decorations were fun, with a lighted floor and an old VW Kombi as the DJ box. My Bachata Princess
January 21, 2009 by Juan Ruiz · 4 Comments
There has been lot of talk about that mysterious “Red dragon” among ladies lately. It just got me thinking that guys too must be having their own “Red Dragon”. Guys just admired the way she moved on a dance floor. No one knew her name at the time. We used to call her “princess.” Read more
What is dance, anyway?

Dance is a spirit, it has no form, bias, or destination, all dance has is a journey. And it never stops. It transcends from one being to another, telling stories and introducing strangers into a community that does nothing less than be noticed. As it connects strangers, dancing will evolve as it is interpreted by everyone differently. The reason why people can accept dance as a culture is because the inspiration, honesty and awe of it is not part of a material world, but part of emotion. Read more
Opalo music review
Many new Bachata bands are trying up to catch this new wave of the Urban Latin Bachata. Only a few bands have been able to stand out from the rest, and this is the case of Opalo. Their distinctive approach to Urban Latin Bachata has pushed this band to the top of the charts in America, especially with their hit single “Amor Sincero”.
Opalo is a Bachata band composed of 4 members: Alex, Edward, Ricky and Yeudy. All of the four members are from the Dominican Republic, so their music style, even though it is the new urban Bachata, are deeply set into their Dominican style roots. Read more
